Enrolments for the Preparatory Year

To be eligible to enrol in the preparatory year, a child must turn 5 years of age by 30th June in the year he/she attends Prep.

For more information on enrolling your child in Prep, visit our Starting Prep page.

The Four Steps of Enrolment

Step 1 Submit and Enrolment application

Submit an online or paper-based application form and forward all supporting documents to the school upon submission. For Year 1 – 6 Enrolments include a copy of the most recent school report.

Step 2 The School responds

The School will acknowledge receipt of your application and advise you of anything else required to assist in considering the application.

Step 3 An Interview is arranged

All enrolments to St Joseph’s School must have an enrolment interview with the Principal or the Principal’s nominee. An Application for Enrolment must be completed by the parents or the legal guardians and all other documents as required should be submitted prior to the interview. It is important that your child or children who are enrolling attend this interview.

Step 4 Accepting your enrolment

Should your application be successful, you will receive a letter of offer of enrolment including confirmation forms on which you may accept the offer, along with an enrolment deposit of $100 to secure your child’s place at St Joseph’s. This acceptance fee is deducted from the first invoice for term fees.
Please note your enrolment is not finalised until these confirmation forms are returned to the school office.
